hat age-old expression, ‘once in a lifetime experience’ gets banded
around quite frequently; often, it’s undeserved. I don’t know anyone
Twho would argue that teaching English abroad, Vietnam in this instance,
is unworthy of being labelled a ‘once in a lifetime’ experience. It is!

Occasionally, ‘once in a lifetime’ experiences just happen – winning the
lottery, saving someone from drowning and suchlike. Some are happy
occasions; others come with sadness. Teaching English in Vietnam is a
‘once in a lifetime experience’ that almost certainly won’t happen unless
you put in the hard yards and follow a systematic process. In this eBook,
I have outlined what constitutes the hard yards – and the systematic
process - gather the necessary documentation, complete a quality TESOL
programme and the like. I have also provided tips and hints on things you
can do to make your ‘once in a lifetime’ teach abroad journey a happy
