When your TESOL training is done and dusted, you’ll hold top-quality
teaching certification (see my earlier reference to more paperwork). Equally
important, you’ll know a thing or two about teaching and learning. You’ll
have the tools of the trade – how to: plan a lesson; present information in
front of people; stoke motivation; manage a class including the occasional
difficult student, and promote a highly interactive and engaging teaching
and learning environment. You’ll discover the importance of culture and
tuning in to how individual students learn best. Surprise, surprise, you’ll
even fall in love with English grammar and know how to teach it to others.
